The Ballina Tourism and Hospitality
Race Day
Ballina Tourism & Hospitality and The Ballina Jockey Club are proud to announce the inaugural Ballina Tourism & Hospitality race day.
Secretary for Ballina Tourism & Hospitality, Dave Heggie, said today “Ballina Tourism & Hospitality is the private sector tourism industry’s membership body. Our aim is to drive the growth of businesses involved in tourism and hospitality in the Ballina and Hinterland area. This race day is a wonderful concept which highlights the local businesses that provide such a high standard of products and services for tourists.”
This race day is fully sponsored by local businesses who are involved in tourism in some way. Good nominations have been received for this TAB meeting with a full 8 race card. Gates will open at 11.30am.
The feature race is an Open Handicap over 1300m, the Ballina Tourism & Hospitality Cup, which has attracted some quality horses.
Ballina Jockey Clubs chief executive, Miss Sarah Wills, said today “We are delighted with the quality of the fields and look forward to a good days racing. The gates will open at 11.30am and the first race will be run at 12.15pm.”
Ballina Tourism and Hospitality would especially like to thank the sponsors of the races.
